High Coast Winter Trail has been held every year since 2017 and is one of FriluftsByn’s original adventures. We, the ones who make this adventure a reality, love, just like you, to go on adventures, the sense of community that forms when doing something exciting together, and of course, celebrating our achievements when we return. FRILUFTSBYN
FriluftsByn is the driving force behind some of Sweden’s most popular outdoor adventures. Höga Kusten Winter Hike is one of FriluftsByn’s original adventures.
VOLUNTEERS
A total of around 40 people contribute to making High Coast Winter Trail possible. They are worth their weight in gold!
LANDOWNERS
We have a close collaboration with the County Administrative Board of Västernorrland and landowners to showcase our home to the world.

YOU, THE PARTICIPANT
You who sign up for HCWT are just as involved in creating the experience. Make sure to read up on what to expect and feel free to bring some positive energy – it tends to spread.
ICEBUG
Icebug will be on-site to share tips and offer shoe rentals for those who want better traction (limited availability).
HAGLÖFS
Haglöfs will be on-site to assist us with clothing for a more comfortable experience. You can also borrow garments (limited availability).

We have done our best to ensure that you can find all the information you need on this website. Under the registration section, you’ll find everything you need to know about your participation, including a link to the rules and mandatory equipment.
In the Participant Info section, we have gathered times and information about what happens before, during, and after the races.
If you have additional questions, it’s usually easiest to ask them in the ”High Coast Trail Runners” Facebook group. Here, you can get answers from both Jerry and previous participants, as well as tips for your adventure. Of course, you can also email questions to info@friluftsbyn.se
