AUDIENCE
Are you accompanying someone running in High Coast and want to enjoy some experiences yourself during the race, or perhaps you just want to come and cheer them on? Here are some tips.

BEST SPOTS FOR THE AUDIENCE DURING HIGH COAST WINTER TRAIL
Since you’ll likely be hiking while the person you’re cheering for is running, it might be challenging to meet at multiple points along the course. However, it also depends on the distance they’re running. Our recommendation is to choose either Skuleberget/Finish Line/Winter Park or Skuleskogen National Park.

The Top of mount Skuleberget
This is undoubtedly the best spot. Hike the High Coast Trail to the summit of Skuleberget, settle in, and enjoy the views along with crispy waffles and soup. When you know that ”your” participant has reached the South Entrance, you can start heading down toward the finish line in FriluftsByn. Alternatively, stay at the top to cheer them on and then meet them again down in FriluftsByn.

Finish Line
The Least Demanding but Equally Delightful. Bring your skates or skis and spend time down in the Winter Park. When you’re in the mood for a treat, settle in at the Winter Café, located right by the finish line.

Slåttdalsberget
If you’re venturing into Skuleskogen National Park, Slåttdalsskrevan and Slåttdalsberget are ideal spots. Start from the South Entrance for a wonderful hike. Be sure to bring a warm jacket and something to stand on.

South Entrance
At the South Entrance, there is an energy station where you can cheer on participants or provide energy supplies. However, we would advise against this location as it doesn’t offer any notable views or experiences. Additionally, unlike Skuleberget’s summit or the finish line, there are no food options available here.

ONE WORLD HERITAGE SITE
FIVE EXPERIENCES
The High Coast Winter Trail offers five different distances. Twin Peaks 12k and Tree Peaks 17k start directly from FriluftsByn, while Classic 25k, Extreme 35k, and Insane 50k have buses to the starting point. All races finish at FriluftsByn. Click on each distance to learn more.
TWIN PEAKS 13k »
Come and experience the breathtaking views of the World Heritage Site. You have 10 hours to make your way up both Getsvedjeberget and Skuleberget – you’ve got this!
THREE PEAKS 17k »
Experience what is often called the High Coast Three Peaks – Herrestaberget, Getsvedjeberget, and Skuleberget. A tough challenge, but you’ll have plenty of time!
CLASSIC 25k »
From North to South, the High Coast Trail and Skuleberget. Beautiful views, lots of laughs, and a great challenge. Perfect for those who usually jog 10 kilometers. You have 10 hours to complete it – it’s totally doable!
EXTREME 35k »
We start on the same route as the Classic, but we also venture onto the mighty Bergsrundan (10k), where we experience Stampberget and take another trip up Slåttdalsberget. This isn't for everyone – but maybe for you.
INSANE 50k »
One of the craziest things you can do in terms of running. You start with the same distance as the Classic, but then you take on both Bergsrundan (10k) and Kustrundan (15k). Are you really sure about this?
